How to Use Video to Market your Dealership

Video has been consistently seen as one of the most efficient and successful ways to market a product or service.  As studies suggest, “Where both video and text are available on the same page, 72% of people would rather use video to learn about a product or service” (Adam Hayes). Video continues to be on the rise year over year, and it’s of vital importance that you consider jumping on the bandwagon. Here are a few ways you can use video to market your dealership:

  1. Incorporate snippets on social

Don’t have the time or money to invest in professional video? Nothing stops you from using your smartphone to capture the dealership’s daily activities, sales, employees, or vehicles on video. You can then share short snippets via Instagram stories, or even post longer more relevant clips on your Facebook page!

  1. Play around with Live

Hosting live videos on Facebook or Instagram can be a great way to captivate your audience. In fact, “more than 50% of marketing professionals said they have seen the best ROI from live video than any other social media platform” (via Mediative). You can feature yourself or another person talking about an awesome sale the dealership is having, host a Q&A with your fans and followers to answer any questions they might have, or go live for the unveiling of the new models to give you a few ideas! Sky’s the limit with live video.

  1. Feature your video everywhere you can

If you opt to go pro and to get a professional video made for your dealership, make sure you feature it as much as you can. Too often people do not know what to do with video and miss opportunities to get the full benefits from it. Post your video on every social media platform you have as well as incorporate it on the landing page of your website, which can increase conversion rates by 80% (via Congo). You can also incorporate your video into your marketing emails!

  1. Advertise on social

Professional looking videos do very well from an ads perspective on social media. More specifically, “80% of users recall a video ad they viewed in the past 30 days” (via Forbes). Incorporating your video into a Facebook ad campaign will increase your dealership’s awareness, which may lead to more potential customers and eventually more sales!

Video is key to building a successful marketing strategy and to creating an image surrounding your dealership. Check out the video on our landing page to see one of the ways we used video to enrich our brand and web experience!
