4 Social Media Content Inspiration Tips

So, you’ve realized you need to step up your social game and integrate social media into your marketing strategy. If you’re feeling like you’re in a content rut and just don’t know how to keep posting, here are 4 tips you can follow:

  1. Use your feed for inspiration

Explore your social feeds for some inspiration from other people either in your industry or just doing a great job on social more generally! However, keep in mind that you’re not trying to copy anyone’s profile; you’re simply trying to get your creative juices flowing.

  1. Use creative commons

If you’re questioning your photo taking ability, nothing stops you from using some creative commons content. Go to Google, type in a word that represents the image you’re trying to find and filter to Images. Then, at the top right, select Tools, Usage Rights, Labeled for Reuse. You’ll get a ton of images that have been approved to reuse!

  1. Repost

Do you absolutely love something someone else posted? Or maybe you want to support a friend who posted some great content. Either way, nothing stops you from reposting or sharing a post you love and tagging the person who posted it originally. Reposting also contributes to your profile’s authenticity as “millennials trust user-generated content 50 percent more than any other type of media” (Pixlee).

  1. Check out Pinterest

There are so many great content ideas on Pinterest, from cool photos to great infographs about social media. Use Pinterest to really get inspired with what you can do with your other social profiles!

These tips will help take your social media profiles from zero to one hundred! The last thing you want to have happen is for you to get uninspired and to let your profiles fall by the wayside. Remember: it’s important as a person in the sales industry to have a social profile and to practice social selling!
